[How To] Remove Facebook Ticker

Facebook is one of the most common Social Networking website and in the recent few months, they have launched quite a few features on the website, which include the Timeline profile and the sidebar ticker. Some of us were frustrated with the new ticker feature. Even I was in the beginning, but now I got used to it. But some people, I believe still do not like that feature. So, here is a simple way by which you can disable that.

Please note that this works only on Google Chrome and not on other browsers yet. If there is any development for other browsers, we shall update you on that as well!

Well, to remove the Facebook Ticker, you need to install an extension to your Google Chrome and let the extension do the hard-work for you! Just sit back, relax and enjoy Facebook, they way you want it!

This is how it looks before using the extension:

And, this is how it looks after you have installed the extension:

Click here to install the extension. The extension is called  Facebook News Ticker Remover.

Hi Aneesh,

I´ve posted a detail information about the Ticker privacy issues in my Site: [URL REMOVED]

"I have checked a privacy issue in a Facebook feature that allows anyone to use Facebook´s Ticker to stalk you without your knowledge or consent. This is not a code vulnerability, but a privacy issue in a Facebook process model.

Maybe it could be a new Facebook strategy. However, in my opinion this is going against user’s knowledge or consent."
