Android is the most common mobile operating system found today. And the best thing about android is that you have access to millions of apps for free. But, to choose from those best apps, you need to spend some time, or rather a lot of time. So, here I come to share with you all the apps that I found useful for my Android phone. The list may differ from person to person and also from what you use your phone for. So, don't kill me if you do not like these apps :P
If you are an Apple fan, and use a jailbroken device, you should consider reading this article Top Cydia Repos : October 2011 .
Today, I would like to share the Top 5 Android apps that I use.
- Facebook for Android : The best social networking site till date(Facebook) has an app for android. The main features are that it sends your push notifications for all your notifications, so you can stay updated even on the go!
- Juice Defender : This is the app that I should have put on number 1, but I love Facebook more, so this app gets the second place. This app basically helps you maximize your phone's battery by disabling the packet data connection when not in use and hence saving your battery.
- Pulse News: Being a blogger and technology lover, Pulse provides me with the latest news from various blogs and websites online. Pulse is basically a multi-category news-updater which provides you news on various topics, which can be customized easily.
- Evernote : Evernote is basically a note-making app that lets you make notes of anything. You can even save Pulse news on Evernote for further reading or recalling. Also, since Evernote is a cross-platform app, you can sync all your notes on your PC/iOS device or Android Device.
- AppBrain : Appbrain is basically an app that generates lists about most downloaded app, which is frankly better than the same statistics by the default market. It also gives you a list of apps depending upon your current location, which is even better.
Do you know of any other apps that could be included in the list next month? Let me know via comments and also let everyone else know! After all, sharing is caring! Also, keep subscribed to TechHive for more such updates and news.
