Android is one of the most common mobile-phone OS running these days and to be frank, it is the BEST available because of its easy development of apps and being Open-source! A lot of developers are working daily for developing Android apps and a lot of them are pretty good apps! But, choosing the good ones out of the crowd is a real hassle! So, to save you from that hassle, I share a lot of Android Apps on my Blog that I find quite fascinating or useful!
One such app can be used to measure the length or height of an object. Now, always you do not carry a measuring tape with you but a lot of times you need to measure lengths or heights of the objects around you for different purposes! But, if you own an Android Smartphone, it is going to be really easy for you to do that from now! Smart Tools has come up with an app called the Smart Measure. This app has an ad-supported free version or an ad-free Paid Version. I shall be using the ad-supported free version for this tutorial.
Smart Measure is an Android Application that is actually capable of measuring heights of different objects around you! I have tried it myself and found it accurate almost always.
And as soon as you install the application, you will be shown a brief tutorial on how to measure the height of an object. You can omit that if you want because we will be discussing it here.
Now, point at the bottom of the object while standing in front of it. Make sure that the cross-hair points to the bottom of the object. Press the shutter button.
Now, Press the Tree (height) icon that appears on the left.
Now, without moving yourself, move the camera to the top of the object and again focus the cross-hair on the top of the object. Press the shutter button again. The application will then show you the height of the object that you selected on the screen! It's that simple!
