Facebook App Center Goes Live for Android, iOS and Web

When it comes to App Stores, we already know that the Android's Market, a.k.a. the Google Play Store and the Apple's App Store are pretty huge for all our needs, but the people at Facebook think differently! They simply thought of getting an App Store solely for themselves and they started working! Well, that was some time back. But now they have come out with their own App Store, called the Facebook App Center. The Facebook App Center will feature most of the apps that you already use on the Facebook website.

Starting today, the users can download over 650 Apps, including the very famous apps like Draw Something, Spotify or Sound Cloud! What is better than having these apps for your device, delivered by Facebook from the Facebook App Center.

Installing apps from the App Center is currently limited to the United States Audience, though Facebook claims that they will roll it out worldwide in the coming weeks. To install apps in the US, all you have to do it choose send app to mobile and you will be able to install it on your phone!

The interesting part about the Facebook App Center is that it will show you recommendations based on your interests and also on what your friends are using! To use the Facebook App Center on your Computer, just click here! When you open the Facebook App Center, you will be shown with different apps but if you are not from the US, you might not be able to download any of those apps! Also, you will be shown all the requests that your friends have sent you on the App Center!

Facebook Released some stats as well with the Launch of their App Center. Quoting those stats here.

  • More than 130 games on Facebook have more than 1 million monthly active users.
