EURO 2012 Match Notification by SMS

Well, if you have happened to miss the yesterday's match in the EURO 2012 Tournament, it is completely your fault! And you can correct that fault by getting a reminder before the match begins! Now, the EURO 2012 Tournament is going to be here for some time and it is up to you till when you want the SMS notifications! If your favorite team is out, maybe you are no longer interested in it! So, you can discontinue it anytime!



This free SMS service is provided by the internet giant, Google! Yesterday I posted how to get them on your iOS or Android device but if you do not own any of those devices, you can still get the fixtures on your phone! But, this is not going to be a complete EURO 2012 Fixture! It is just going to be a reminder few minutes before the match actually starts! Before we proceed with this tutorial, I want you to open the following post and do the task of Importing the EURO 2012 Fixture into your Google Calendar!

EURO 2012 Fixtures on your Android or iOS Device 

Remember, just perform the first part of the tutorial, i.e. importing the EURO 2012 Fixture into your Google Calendar! When you are done, come back to this post for the rest of the tutorial!

SMS Notification for EURO 2012 Fixtures :

1. Before proceeding further, I assume that you have done the required steps from the tutorial mentioned above!


2. Now, log in to your Google Calendar and browse to Settings -> Mobile Settings.
   


3. Choose your country, enter your mobile number and get the verification code! Enter the verification code in the text box below and click on Finish Setup.
   


4. After you Click Finish Setup, you will be taken to the Notification Setup Area!


5. Next, you need to add the notification to Google Calendar. Click on Add a Reminder and do the following settings. You may set the time as per your own need.
   


6. This is all done now! You will receive the SMS Notification for all matches as per your settings directly on your phone!
