Getting your posts indexed as fast as possible is a Blogger's dream! Well, now I have found a way to get them indexed easily on Google, Yahoo and Bing, the top 3 search engines of current times! And the trick that I am going to share works on all three of these search engines and can actually help you get your website indexed much faster! The service required for that is not any complicated one, it is just as simple as visiting the Google or Bing Website and pinging your Sitemap to it!
Before we go on, let's discuss what are we actually going to do in the trick! Well, in the trick we are just going to ping the respected website with our Sitemap and request it to index it faster!
What is Site Pinging?
Site pinging is a way of informing the search engines that your website has been updated and they need to crawl it again with the provided Sitemap! You send them a notification and they crawl your website as and when time permits, but definitely earlier than it would have been by default!
How to Ping?
Well, the process of pinging is an easy thing to do! Just follow these following steps :
- Copy the URL of your Sitemap and keep it handy by pasting it in an empty Notepad file!
- Then, just visit the following URL's but remember to replace the 'URL Here' with your actual URL. Have fun!
Google :
http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/ping?sitemap=URL Here
Bing/Yahoo :
http://www.bing.com/webmaster/ping.aspx?siteMap=URL Here
The submission to Yahoo and Bing take place at the same place because the Yahoo and Bing Search Engines had a merger recently and they control it over Bing itself!
