Backup Gmail : Be Prepared

Some time back, Google had a server crash. The server that was affected was the one with supported Gmail, Google's free email service. Due to that server crash, a lot of people lost their important data, though Google tried to restore it using the latest backup of the server. Anyways, Prevention is better than cure! So, in order to prevent your data from getting lost, you can make a backup of the same in an easy way!

Well, this task can be done in an easy way, which at first I did not believe, but after trying it out myself, I can say that this is as easy as 1,2,3. To begin with the process of backing up your data, you need to download an application, called Gmail Backup. This can be done by clicking here! After you download it, install the application and follow the steps below :

  1. Open the installed App, which can be found on the desktop.

  2. When you run it for the first time, you will need to put in your details and it will remember them till next time.

  3. Fill in your appropriate details and then click on Browse to choose for the location of Gmail Backup. Browse to the location you want to save your Backup to and click OK.
