Facebook Fun : Have fun with these tricks and impress!

Recently, while surfing Facebook i discovered a few cool things about it that I did not know. So, i thought of writing a post about it but never got the time! So, today i thought of sharing it with everyone and here it is! Basically, you can use these Facebook tricks to impress your friends or loved ones! They help you put different status updates and change your profile language!

1. Aye Aye Captain Trick!

Make your profile in a pirate's language as if you are a pirate and impress everyone. This is very simple to do! Just open up your profile page and on the bottom, you will find that its written : "Facebook © 2011· English (US)".  Just click on the English(US) or any other language that is displayed there. A box will pop up. Choose English(Pirate) from there and you are done. When you choose that, this is how your profile will look like :

2. Upside Down Status Update :

If you’ve been on Facebook long enough, you’ve probably noticed a few people posting upside down status updates. They sure do think they’re clever don’t they?!  Yes, you too can be the envy of all of your friends and family by posting your updates so that people have to look silly by tilting their heads upside down so they can read it.

Most of the people you’ve seen doing this have likely installed a Facebook app just to do so. However, I dislike installing apps because you always have to provide permissions to those applications to access your profile. A better approach is to use the free online application at FlipText to generate your upside down status update.

3. Hide your Online Status from a few people :

This happens sometimes that you are online on Facebook and you do not want some people to see that you are actually there. So, here's the thing you can do. Open up the chat box and click on the Friend Lists on the top. Enter the name for the new list and click add. Now, just add those people to that list by choosing the Edit Option next to the list name on the chat window. When done with that, you just need to click the green button to the right of the list name and you will appear offline for people who are in that particular list.
